Dr John Travers
BE, MB, BCh, BAO, MBA, PhD, MICGP
John has honours degrees in medicine and engineering from UCD, an MBA from Harvard and a medical PhD in reversing frailty and building resilience from UCD.
​
He is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the School of Medicine in Trinity College Dublin. He has twice won the Royal College of General Practitioners Sheppard award for medical writing and earned the Irish College of General Practitioners best published research award. John's latest book is called A Shot of Hope - Stories of Quiet Resilience published by Orpen Press
John enjoys all of General Practice, including Paediatric Care, Care of the Older Person and Resilience Building. He has worked as a healthcare volunteer in Ireland, India and Africa. He enjoys all sports and has two daughters with his wife Lisa.​​​

Dr Lisa Lawless
BSc, MB, BCh, BAO, DRCOG, DCP, DML, MICGP
Following a successful career in clinical neurophysiology and becoming the mother of two young children, Lisa decided to study Medicine at UCD graduating with an honours degree in 2006. She worked in endocrinology at the National Obesity Management Centre before commencing GP training on the TCD/HSE GP Training Scheme, graduating in 2012. She
has completed hospital posts in paediatrics, obstetrics, psychiatry, palliative care, emergency care and medicine. She is actively involved in medical education and the training of GPs in her role as assistant Director at the ICGP North Dublin City GP Training Scheme. She holds additional post graduate diplomas from the College of Psychiatrists in Ireland, the
Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, King’s Inns and the ICGP (Addiction Management and Women’s Health).
Lisa is an experienced GP and has practiced in Dublin, Wicklow and with the College Health Service, TCD. She gained additional experience in the care of young adults during her time at TCD including the management of young adult mental health and in her role as sexual health lead for the college. She continues to work as a GP in the north inner city providing care to patients from disadvantaged or marginalised populations and those experiencing
homelessness and addiction. She is a former Director of Aware depression support and
education services and has worked as a medico-legal advisor contributing to many national guidelines and protocols.
Lisa enjoys all aspects of general practice and is passionate about health equity, patient advocacy and medical education. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband David, four kids and friends, walking, talking, good food, swimming and occasional trips to the gym.

Dr Annika Gallagher

Nurse Aoife Botha
RGN, RGM, RNP
Aoife attended Trinity College Dublin as an Adelaide student nurse from 2015 to 2019. She worked as a nurse in Tallaght University Hospital on an Orthopaedic ward, which later became a COVID ward.
She completed a higher diploma postgraduate degree in Midwifery with UCD in the National Maternity Hospital, where she worked for two years.

Aoife has been working in Practice nursing since 2022. She has a degree in cervical screening with the RCSI, completed a level 9 module in breastfeeding and lactation studies with UCD and became a Nurse Prescriber with RCSI in 2025. She has studied perinatal loss and bereavement with the University of Limerick and is training to become a breastfeeding and lactation consultant in the next few months. She is passionate about women’s health, breastfeeding and lactation. She also has interests in sexual health and LGBTQ+ healthcare.

Hobbies include art, poetry, writing and reading good books. She enjoys boxing, swimming, and walking. She is a fifth dan taekwondo master and has competed internationally, with a gold medal in the Irish open and a silver medal in the British open. She recently qualified as a PADI certified rescue scuba diver.
